ZooPro Adventures provides live educational animal presentations for classrooms.

This is an exciting opportunity as it provides teachers with a hands-on educational tool to reinforce such topics as:

  • Animal Identification –what the actual animals look like
  • Physical Characteristics of Animals and why they have them
  • Natural habitats and niches of native species.
  • Impact of habitat loss on population numbers
  • Environmental Encroachment
  • Environmental Adaptations
  • Appropriate responses to wildlife in inappropriate places.
  • How adaptations of specific species enhance their survival in their natural environments.
  • Distinction between physical and behavioral adaptations.
  • Convergent evolution: Similar structures and traits, even behaviors in animals not closely related and/or greatly separated geographically.
  • Camouflage, warning colors and mimicry.
  • Simple and concrete actions for all students and citizens to take to protect and ensure the survival of these species (e.g. no food litter on highways, habitat preservation, knowledge of and respect for conservation law)
